Overview
STD Test Options is designed as an informational website. Our test finder is intended to run locally in the browser and does not require an account, email address, or submission of answers to our server.
Information you provide
If you contact us, we may receive the information you choose to send, such as your message and contact details. Do not send medical records, test results, or urgent medical questions through this website.
Affiliate and third-party links
Some links may take you to third-party testing providers, clinics, public health sites, or affiliate partners. Those websites have their own privacy policies, billing practices, and data handling rules.
Analytics and hosting
The site may be hosted or delivered by infrastructure providers that process standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, request path, and timestamps for security and performance.
On eligible public pages, Google Analytics measures page views and predefined actions such as opening a city guide or following a provider link. We do not send questionnaire answers or typed city searches as event parameters. The test finder page does not load Google Analytics or LinkPizza and does not report quiz completion. Its controls remain disabled if its script cannot load.
Visits containing query parameters or URL fragments, visits from a query-bearing referring page, and local or preview environments do not start these third-party scripts. Query parameters are removed from the visible page address before analytics could start. Hosting systems may still receive an incoming legacy URL before that browser cleanup; do not put medical information in a link. Normal analytics uses the page path and, where available, only the referring site's origin. Our pages also request that browsers send no HTTP referrer.
LinkPizza statistics and affiliate links
On eligible pages without input tools, we use LinkPizza to verify website statistics and measure page views, reads, and link clicks. Loading the script connects your browser to LinkPizza. It may also convert eligible outbound links into affiliate links, through which we may earn a commission. LinkPizza is disabled on the homepage search and private test finder. Medical privacy
For a synthetic test session, adding ?seo_test=1 once disables Google
Analytics and LinkPizza for subsequent visits in the same tab. A session-only
boolean remembers that choice; no answers or search text are stored. Use ?seo_test=0 to clear it. This does not delete earlier analytics data.
Using this site is not the same as receiving care from a HIPAA-covered medical provider. Confirm privacy, billing, insurance, and records policies directly with any clinic, lab, or testing provider before using their services.
